 Three words: BUTTERSCOTCH MERENGUE PIE

Whoever HEARD  of such a thing? And it was $3.00 a slice, coffee-  ninety five cents.  This all happened in Golden City, Missouri. I drove down dirt roads from Lamar to get there. Cooky's diner- only place open on Sunday  since the 1940's.

This town has appeared in strange dreams since I've been home. So many abandoned buildings, quiet, peaceful and decay, but in a curiously beautiful, tragic way.

on taking chances

Starting a new blog today because I love writing about good antique finds, good food and great places to stay. Oh,  and my dog's name is Chance. He travels with me everywhere.

I am an antiques dealer so my foodie trips are also peppered with antique hunts and I love historical as well as remote places to stay. I like funky to highend. I view every opportunity to savor life is a good one. If you like these things too than stay tuned. I plan to write about some of my favorites as well as throw in some crazy good experiences that I happened to 'chance' in on.
